A room in Durban for songs that carry faith.

Christian artists in Durban are often asked to choose between a bedroom demo and a studio that does not understand the song. Worship leaders need a choir to blend. A pastor needs a conversation that looks and sounds like a programme, not a meeting recorded on a phone. A single needs a master that survives a car, a stream, and a Sunday service.

SN7 holds that work in one studio. The control room is where sessions are run and mixes are finished. The live room holds drums, bass, acoustic guitar, and percussion, so a worship team can play without hiring a backline. A separate set, with lights and cameras, is where ministry podcasts, interviews, and music videos are filmed.

Who the studio is for

• Gospel artists and songwriters recording singles, EPs, and albums.
• Worship leaders and church bands tracking a team, not only a vocal.
• Choirs that need a blend, not fourteen separate phone recordings.
• Pastors and ministries filming podcasts, sermons, and conversations.
• Producers who want a treated room for a day, with or without our engineer.

What you can expect from the room

The desk runs through a Universal Audio interface into studio monitors, including Focal monitors, with large-diaphragm condenser microphones for vocals. There is a MIDI keyboard for production, a treated vocal position, and a live room that already contains a drum kit, bass, acoustic guitar, and hand percussion. You do not need to arrive with a truck.

We do not publish a price list, because a solo vocal and a full worship team are not the same day. Tell us what you are making. We quote the session before you commit.

Where we are

The studio is at 27 Bram Fischer Road, Durban. We record gospel from across the city, in isiZulu, English, and other South African languages. See the service areas or send a brief.

That is the standard. Loudness, polish, and picture matter. Intelligibility comes first, because the message is the reason the song exists.
